What you need
Kay reviews supplies in chapter one — start there before you shop. Amounts are for one project.
Needles
- Felt Alive Felting Needle Six-Pack (color-coded singles — designed to accompany these workshops)
Wool
- 2 oz wool batting for the core body parts
- 2 oz wool batting — skin tone
- 2 oz wool batting — variety of colors for clothing, or merino prefelt sheets
- Small amounts of white wool for teeth and eyes, dyed wool for eye color, blush, and shading
- Wool roving or curly wool locks for hair
Tools
- Foam felting pad — at least 8×10"
- Felting stick (paper lollipop stick or wooden skewer)
- Strong sewing needle — used as a sculpting tool, not for sewing
